About

Founded in 1981, the Museum of Neon Art (MONA) is the only museum devoted exclusively to art in electric media.

MONA exhibits,  documents and preserves contemporary neon, electric and kinetic fine art and outstanding  examples of historic neon signs.  MONA welcomes visitors from around the world to experience the vibrant diversity of this glowing, moving art form. Each year the museum presents four to six exhibitions including one-person retrospectives, thematic group shows, related science and technical exhibits, documentary photo exhibits that depict neon signs and fine art photography utilizing neon and light. Along with works by emerging and established artists, the museum also has an extensive  collection of historical and culturally significant illuminated signs.
